Slumdog debate: Poverty porn or life in a metro?

I vote Slumdog to be a life in Metro.com'on y people drag curtains on their vision n not see the spirit of hope n triumph of humans staying in the Asia's biggest slum the 'Dharavi'.The author Vikas Swarup has torched the world the bitter truth in the book but moral glows something like there is surely a hope of success n triumph of human spirit. If a poor guy can come up in life isnt it digestable for the people who word Slumdog as "Poverty porn".U feel its Mumbai's underbelly which shudnt be exposed to the globe,y dont u have guts to improve the life there. Is that possible for the people. Its the fact n the film has lighted the real life story of the poor people staying in the midst of dung n drainage.
There isnt any point in debating unnecessarily, the sense of optimism should be added in peoples' minds n according to me there is nothing wrong in showing the truth.Atleast the globe will wonder that being a developing country, wid so many odds n terror attacks we Indians are no less n have the guts to face any hurdles in life.Though we come from poverty rich country we are rich in our values...

Big B's comments on "Slumdog Millionaire"

Bachchan said: "Slumdog Millionaire projects India as a Third World dirty under belly developing nation and causes pain and disgust among nationalists and patriots."I totally disagree on his comments. Its the proper depiction of the slums. If the reality is such y dont people digest the same.Anyways we people never have guts to walk or smell the shit in Dharavi, wherein the film is picturised. The quote holds true "truth is always sour".Y isnt there an optimism in thinking.Think how a slum guy or slumdog as stated comes out of the area n becomes world famous.Y only focus on the slums the gutters the drainages...Its the truth. As such I think there is nothing to b embarrased on the same real fact.Though India is a developing nation people in this nation have the spirit n the determination to prove to the globe that nothing is impossible.Y is it that only the creamy layers of the society can come up?India though a developing nation surely has the will to do n will achieve its name as a "Developed nation".Nothing wrong in sketching out n putting lights on the biggest slum area. Its the fact n fact is a fact n there rises no question of embarrasment dear Amitabh Sir..

Quality in Bangalore Restaurant

Hey Bangaloreans..this is to alert u n alarm u n make u think twice before u plan to lick the yummy dishes in Nandhini Palace in bangalore.the quality standards have to be rated for the Nandhini Palace which till few days had a good reputation on Quality standards. It so happened that recently a guy ordered for a parcel from nandhini palace. The order was placed for Chicken Biryani which is a favourite dish for almost all non-veggies.The guy started relishing the aroma of the dish soon as he uncovered the parcel. He tasted few bites n now he took a fried piece which he thought to be a chicken leg n found out that it was a dead lizard.he just vomitted out the entire so called delicious dish.
A compliant he passed to the hotel managers n he was acknowledged wid a sorry letter wid a fruit basket n a 2009 diary.
So wud u guys like to spend ur birthdays having the cooked lizards.entire reputation on all restaurants is lost. There is a big question on the public n people have lost trust in the restaurants.
The guy could have lodged a compliant to the quality department but would u think the guy would be spared by the Nandhini officials????????
So public atleast read this n convey the message to all ur near n dear ones//

Endaro Mahanu Bhavulu...

Who else can sing "endaro Mahanu Bhavulu" better than Sri.Balamuralikrishna?.The living legend Bala sir.M.Muralikrishna requires no introduction as he is so rich wid the accolades n awards to his oceanic knowledge in carnatic singing n is world famous. He has so much to his credit that he won the title Bala at the mere age of 8 by the Musunuri Suryanarayana Murty Bhagavatar, a distinguished Harikatha performer. From there on,he never turned back n dedicated his total life in music n only music. So many kritis n so many hues in the same.He has played with instruments also like violin,Khangira n veena. His mom was a Veena player n his dad was also a musician.the Veteran can sing in Telugu,Tamil ,Sanskrit n kannada. He has also acted in few movies.A total dedicated musician has also performed wid other veterans like Pt.Bhimsen Joshi,Hariprasad Chaurasia n Amonkar Kishori...oops he has proved that Carnatic is no less than hindustani n taken carnatic music to a different level.Hats off to u the genius.
He has drank the music according to me,in the mere age of 16 he had mastered the 72 melakarta ragas in carnatic. At the age of 14,he had composed the Raganga ravali.Jus imagine how well versed he is.A total GOD's gift is he for the Indian Land.So many rare ragas he renders n gives a unique beauty to them wid his innovations. He has composed so many ragas to name a few which i kno is Surya..etc.
A true musician n can mesmerize the audience to give a heavenly feel n the Divine's blessings.
Devadi Deva sada siva...in a rare raga n numerous others to enlist jus makes u forget the worldly matters n provides u ample happiness when rendered by Balamurali sir...............

Vietnam Veedu,,

I saw this movie yesterday nite mayb for the 4th time.
Yep! its a very old movie potrayed on a Brahmin family in Chennai. The legendaries Ms.Padmini the dancing queen n Nadigar Thilakam Mr.Shivaji Ganeshan have acted to bring wells of tears in the eyes of the audience.Though a 1970 movie, but a very beautiful tale designed n directed wid excellence.I am left short of words to sketch how very nicely the eminents have acted in the movie. The tamil iyer look jus glows on the ever beautiful Padmini. The iyer slang is charmingly tongued by them. The actions n dialogue rendition the verbal quarrel between the couple etc.is jus exciting.Prestige Padmansban is a very sincere n a very honest man imbibed wid all good characters n slogs to bring his family up n make them happy.the true colors of his children glows out when he is retired.he becomes a stranger in his own place. His english quotes in Tamil slang wid his polished stlye adds more effect on the renditions.the dialogues like.."Counting days to goto the grave".."Konnuduven..:"..way he calls his wife.."Savitri..".Oops this guy is jus too amazing.n indeed Savitri has also equally done her job..the iyer slang jus flaps on her tongue n comes out always in her polished way...
He cares in every aspect that his prestige shudnt b questioned any time by anyone. But bcoz of his children he bows down his head n his prestige jus erases out.The climax jus pulls out tears n the lost Prestige is given bac to him by gifting him his requested position in his own company,,reason being his sincerity .The movie was a super duper hit n it ought to be.I jus quote that every tamilian shud watch the movie atleast to see the actors' acting....

Short term memory..

Short term memory ..oops imagine how a person survives wid this.ThankFul to the divine n pray nothing of dat sort ever happen to anyone.I had heard stuffs on amnesia initially but never had given my botherance to actually rack my brains n gain some knowledge on this subject.Last tuesday I saw Ghajini n I saw Aamir Khan suffering from Anterograde amnesia. That was when i thought lemme research on the subject.Just imagine i quote a few words now to u n after say 15mints. i hardly forget to recognise u.I have a cup of coffee n few cookies with u,n next day u are a total stranger to me.I have forgotten my spouse fail to recognize my cousins wid whom i played in my past are instances of retrograde amnesia...
Amnesia is a vast subject to discuss on.varied types of amnesia are there mainly anterograde, retrograde n blend of both.
Anterograde amnesia is the one which Aamir suffers or Suriya suffers in Ghajini.ie the memory lasts for a span of minutes.Reason can be n injury to damage the hippocampus - a part in the brain which stores the information.the world knos dat the brain is a storehouse which can hold information, details etc. etc. for many years. How a human of 90years remembers his past his childhood days, may be few instances or incidents but surely he remembers..Brain is a super computer.
Retrograde amnesia is something like after the accident the victim sees the world for teh first time.entire past is flushed out from the victim's mind.Imagine a lady with Retrograde amnesia forgets her child, behaves like a stranger to her own hubby, doesnt kno wat her interests were prior to the injury n stuffs.
Guess further research on the subject wud brighten the info on this subject.Lemme research on the same.i welcome the info on this subject from the readers also....

Conversation with Arihant

today it so happened dat Arihant my colleague n myself had a verbal fight on religions, culture n beliefs. It all started off like this, my another colleague after lunch stated that he wanna leave for doin Namaz n left.I jus tongued that Muslims are indeed very sincere n they follow their customs sincerely.I also stated I am proud of my religion "Hindu".Arihant voiced out, everyone is proud of his religion.I thought this is someway gonna have a religion dispute.Thank GOD nothing of that sort progressed.
I said cultures are different for different religion n he was in total disagreement.According to him, cultures had a wider synonym n cannot b jus quoted bluntly as i did.
My say is every religion follows its customs say for illustration, take Hindus - Mallus, men dont wear shirts while entering temples, chappals arent worn inside the holy temples.
Tamilians cultures' are something like waking up early in the morning, wash teh corridor with water n put rangolis, etc.
every religion follows its different culture n definitely its their belief.
Can cultures n religions b related?can myths n cultures b connected?need clarifications

iyer Weddings...

Iyer weddings are the occasions which prolong for days in the early days.Iyers' weddings with lots of Vedic chantings, lovely songs on Lords, various rituals etc. etc. wow total ambience is worth experiencing. But these days wid cross culture marriages at the peak the ancient culture of conduction of week long mariages have been cut short to a span of few hours.
The Marriage function initiates with the Mappillai Ayaippu somewhere in the evening hours wherein the groom is welcomed by the bride's side.next day the rituals start off with Udagashanti mantrams resonating n also many important suktams. The Groom also performs some pranks like he isnt interested in marriage n walks off as if he gonna go for Kashi yatra n the bride's side requests the groom n makes him understand.too kool all the plays look.
The traditional look always keep glowing on both groom n bride. The kanchevarams on almost all ladies just add on to the occasion.the silk dhotis on gents also gives the brahmanas' look.
marriage function continues with Taaravaaku wherein the brides father gives his daugther to the groom, and this moment wherein the groom ties 3knots.The knots also have its own significance. Each knot signifies n signals certain things.the chanting of 4 vedas with ghanams by the pundits n ganapatigals are done.
"Srinivas Gadyam" a lovely rendition covering all carnatic ragas, instrments, holy places, holy rivers etc. are chanted in a very beautiful way n its actually chanted in Tirupathi for Lord Venkatesha on Thursdays when the Lord's eyes are washed i.e when the Namam is fully removed...for bathing the Lord with holy water. Its said that the mantram has so much power that its chanted n the prasadams are kept in front of the Lord while removing the Namam. This is done to pacify Lord as the Lord's eyes are too powerful n can burn things to ash.The prasadams are kept so that when Lord's eyes take a sight of the same n all germs bacterias n micro organisms are killed n the prasadams r made pure filled with the Divine blessing.... The Gadyam is really beautiful n gives supreme peace to the listeners
Then the 7 pheras signifying that for next 7 janmas the couple will continue to remain as couples, ammmi stamping,Finding out the Arundathi nakshatra stating that each wife shud be like the Rishi Patni "Arundathi" very pure.
Then we have our Oonjal wherein the newly wed couple is given milk n bananas by the ladies. The songs are sung by the blessers present in the function.
The lunch is however the essential part of the function with payasams n various delicacies n dishes.
The evening again is kool when the bride n groom sit n play pranky games with coconuts, papads, comb, lipstick, nail polish.Basically the family members rag the couple. The audience present songs.
The main songs in the occasion are "Malai maatinaal","Seeta kalyana","Ponn Oongal" etc....
Iyers' marriages are indeed very traditional with hundreds of iyer mamis n iyer mamas flocking in traditinal outfits.Wow!!

Morning Raga

Morning Raga - a wonderful movie, though it didnt flick so much.Simple story wherein a musician just forgets her classical world after her friend's demise in an accident.Later the son of the accident victim with musical interest learns n wishes to put a musical show,n some how finds the classical musician n coaxes her to perform.Musician Shabana is firm that she wudn't cross the city lane as she gets shivered n whole past accident scene tortures her.
Some how she is brought to the show n is begged to perform n she gives a wonderful evening to the audience.
Just chk out how eminent is Shabana.Chk her acting,,its just too good.Being a Muslim female she has transformd herself into a southie n wow! to her acting skills. Her saree her expressions everything is superb.Classical vocalist Sudha Raghunathan though voiced the Thaye Yashoda song ,chk the lip movements of Shabana,u jus dont kno if actually Shabana is moving her lips or she is actually singing.
I guess this is how Acting is defined....Shabanaji u are too goodddddddd....
