HeartBeat concert in Bangalore was held in St.Joseph boys school in Bangalore yesterday.Concert was arranged by THE TIMES OF INDIA.The concert was from evening 7.30 and the same went on till 9.30pm.I hardly fetch words to describe the ambience created by the eminent stars Shankar Mahadevan,Jakir Hussain,Sivamani,Srinivas and Selva Ganesh.Wow!!!!!!!That was blessing for us,the music lovers to have a glimpse of the 5stars at the same time.ooooooo the evening was too good.
The concert started off with a 2minute mourning for the people who lost their lives in the Mumbai terror attack.

Shankar Mahadevan,person who needs no introduction.the Breathless fame,The 
music director Sa ReGaMaPa 2008 judge,the outstanding singer with carnatic background.Shankar kick started with a Hamsadvani Rag n modulated the tunes to his amazing creativity.He started with carnatic touch added some hindustani tinge and gave a rocking effect.The swaras which later followed forced the listeners to tap their feet n nod their heads.He then sung a sahana rag based thygaraja kriti penned in telugu with superb beauty.He ended the concert with "Raghupathi Raghava ..."The song from shankar just took the listeners to Lord Rama.The bhakthi was filled in the same.It was too good.........

Mandolin Srini gave an outstanding rendition with his 25cm long mandolin.superb,he played his instrument with Sivamani.Srini played something like a ragamalika he mixed hamsadwani,revathi,shanmukhapriya,and 1 more raga.He and shankar had synced so well in the sahana rendition.Hats off guru!!!!!
Birthday boy Sivamani ,a crowd puller just mesmerised us with his percussion instruments.He didnt leave even the water can and VIP briefcase to give out soothing music.What a great artist he is!!!!!He played almost half n hour in 1 go.Lemme ask,howz it Siva-ji.?
Selva Ganesh,Zakir termed something like this "Selva can create musical heaven with his one Ghanjira which Sivamani makes with his 200 percussion stuffs"Wat an accolade!He indeed did an immense job with his single ghanjira.amazing effect man,people jus started dancing and tapping.Too good.........

Lastly the Taj sir ,Zakir Hussain.I dont think any intro to be typed for this artiist.Tabla is like marbles for him.He can jus roll his magical fingers on them and mesmerise the world.And that wat happened.
I was lucky to be a part of this wonderful evening.there were 1000s of people and age group ranged from 3yrs to 70+.thats wat music is.Sivamani indeed told the world when the person first hears music."Its when the child is still in the womb of its mother"Truely the fact,thats the time when the child first hears the musical rhythm.Though i sat somewhere in the 30th row the GODs presence and benison could be sensed.I had slipped out from office by 4.30 in a Volvoa nd went straight to Neel's house from where we 4 Neel,Uday,praveen and myself rode on teh bike.i am short of adjectives to decorate my lines.
