This is the aerial view of the Shining Golden temple where i had been on 26th January 2009.The middle dome forms the Divine's residence and the star is path through which we devotees should walk to enter the Divine's residence n seek blessings.wonderful view and huge acres of land have been taken to give a lovely ambience.The dome is fully made up of gold n seems something like the dome is floating on the water.Goddess Lakshmi is on her Lotus n the Lotus is floating on the water.Throughout the path there are boards wid loads of information from Vedas,Upanishads n the messages from Amma.Amma,termed here is the respect given to a priest who has shown his 100% interest in bringing up this temple.There are lots of stone made idols of dasavataram n many more of the GODS n Goddesses.
The holy "Lakshmi" here is really very beautiful n tall enough but u hardly can praise her by ur chants because u r pushed out very soon.according to me,Devi's blessings n satisfaction is gained only by atleast getting a chance to glance at the Divine.I wasnt satisfied.Moreover the people paying extra money were given prasadams n general public had to walk to a distant location to collect teh same.A bit of dissatisfaction still remains in me.Its totally commercialised.Here u hardly feel like praying but enjoying teh other beautifications.The way of attracting people n making them buy stuffs,its totally a way of making money n not givin them peace.Jus wud like to ask,tell me how many people kno this temple by name of Goddess lakshmi.Its only famous by name "Golden Temple"..Its become a picnic spot n not a spot to bury ur sorrows n seek happiness.
Nice temple to visit. The delicate art work in the temple owes it's beauty to manual labour which also involved converting gold chunks into gold foils and mounting the foils on copper.
