I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind

Glancing at my tender leaves contented I became
Some of my leaves in light green while others in darker hue
Mushrooming so much to give my friend a cushion to rest on me
Everyday my mate sparrow visits me and chirps a song for me
I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind
Fluttering its wings arrive my mates
Some with spots and some with classy designs
So beautifully painted on its wings....
The butterflies kiss my leaves and play see saw on my leaves
I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind
Blooming flowers of mine dazzle to catch the worlds’ eye
With Bountiful yellow petals matching the gloss of the sun
Standing tall with green stems call out the honey king
Buzzing loud comes in my guests and happily takes my honey
I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind
In the pouring days, come many guests for a brief stay
Beetles clothed in red and black and long striped grasshoppers
All singing for me in their own tunes and rendering their stories
After the rains, thanking me the beetles wave a bye and the hoppers pat my leaves
I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind
Happy that I have so many friends who visit me
Who sing for me, tell stories and carry my pollen when I know I can’t move
I glance at me, my leaves my stem my branch
So proud am I to shelter some, just support some when I know I can’t move
I Dance in happiness with my leaves swaying with the wind
As I know my friends are always there for me and they know I can’t move
