Concert by TMKrishnan...

Ganjam Sponsored concert by TMKrishnan in chowdiah memorial hall on 14th of November grabbed much of music lovers' attention.I hardly fetch words to describe the heavenly evening created by the eminent music mastero. To type a few words on this genius is indeed required.
TMKrishnan is among the youngest of the new breed of Carnatic musicians who have been setting the musical firmament alight over the past decade or more.A classicist to the core, krishna imbues his recitals with teh highest traditions of this art form combined with his own inimitable style and fervour.
He had his rigid tutelage under guru Shri Seetarama Sharama for over 18 years.
I would rather deny myself enlisting the accolades bagged by TMK,obvious reason being there are too many to write here.
TMK has coauthored the much appreciated coffee table book,"VOICES WITHIN" with BJayasree, depicting the life and times of seven great musicians.
In the concert he surely mesmerized the audience with his following renditions...
TM kicked off the concert with a Thyagaraja kriti "Chakaneeraja.." in Karaharapriya.
followed by Shyama Shastri's wonderful saveri composition "Shankari Shankuru..."Alapanai n ofcourse his approach to the song was enthralling.
TM followed with a Yamunakalyani kriti "Jambupathe pahi.." by Deekshitar. This was mainly a composition on one of the "PANCH BOOTAs" water.
Main piece for the evening was in Reetigowlai to bring our hearts out with happiness and devotion filled emotions.Song was no doubt "Jannani Ninnu Vina.."
A lovely javalli preceded the main piece..
Main piece was followed by various tukada..
Magalam..was the most emotional part, bcoz this was the torch to show the end of the benison filled concert...
All in all,,,most wonderful kutcheri to help the music aspirants to breathein the blessings of the Divine...........
